Senior Power BI Developer


Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite)

Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in


business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have


extensive experience designing enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, building scalable


semantic models, and translating business requirements into actionable insights. The role


requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and cross


functional teams to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions.


Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and
• scorecards.
• Build and optimize semantic data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and
• Power Query (M) transformations.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective reporting
• solutions.
• Connect and integrate data from multiple data sources, including SQL databases,
• cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Optimize report performance, data refresh schedules, and query execution.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace governance, deployment
• pipelines, and Power BI best practices.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop scalable and efficient data
• models.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide production
• support.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational governance
• standards.


Required Skills
• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data
• Warehousing.


Strong expertise in:
• Power BI Desktop
• Power BI Service
• DAX
• Power Query (M)
• Data Modeling
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and
• performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema, and data warehousing
• concepts.
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI deployment best
• practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management experience.


Preferred Skills
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory,
• Azure SQL, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and version control for Power BI deployments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification
